The objectives of the lessons for Little Explorers

In my "Little Explorers" courses, your child will embark on an exciting adventure to:
  • Enrich their vocabulary: They will discover new words, learn how to use them, and understand the subtleties of the language, such as homophones and frequent verbs.
  • Becoming a budding reader and writer: They will learn to read and write in French, mastering the basic rules of reading and spelling.
  • Develop their reading comprehension: They will learn to reflect on what they read and extract meaning from it, an essential skill for academic and personal success.
  • Thanks to a fun and interactive approach, your child will develop these key skills while having fun and building a positive relationship with the French language.

Who are these French lessons for?

The Little Explorers courses are designed for children aged 7 to 10 who already have a foundation in reading and writing, and who understand and respond in French.

They are aimed at curious and discovery-eager young minds. These courses are ideal for those who enjoy learning in a fun and interactive way.

I group children by levels, like in schools in France:

Level CE1

Who can enroll?
  • French-speaking child born in 2018 (approximately 7 years old for the 2025 - 2026 school year)
  • Has good oral comprehension and is able to read simple texts in French.
What's the program?

We will enrich vocabulary with captivating themes and approach grammar (gender, number) through games. A first introduction to conjugating common verbs in the present tense will also be initiated. Written expression will be encouraged through the creation of sentences and short stories.

Who can enroll?
  • French-speaking child born in 2017 (approximately 8 years old for the 2025 - 2026 school year)
  • Able to understand complex instructions and read longer texts in French.
What's the program?

We will explore a variety of texts to enrich our comprehension and vocabulary. Our study of the language will deepen with the identification of different types of sentences encountered in our readings. We will develop our writing skills by producing longer texts to recount our explorations and discoveries.

Who can enroll?
  • French-speaking child born in 2016 - 2014 (approximately 9 - 11 years old for the 2025 - 2026 school year)
  • Has a solid foundation in reading and writing, and is able to express themselves fluently in French.
What's the program?

We will explore conjugation in depth across a range of essential tenses. We will study various types of texts to improve comprehension and develop the production of more elaborate and well-argued writings. The objective is to master the tools of the language to communicate with precision and nuance.
